Pi Kappa Alpha…Once a Pike, Always a Pike.
Pike has given me something that I never had, brothers. I’ve learned from being an adviser for my chapter that I love being a mentor. Helping to shape the lives of these young men. My goal in life is to at least know that I’ve done good for at least a few people. I want nothing more than these guys to grow up and become successful business men. There are a lot of times that you feel let down, or have no one to talk to, but for me Pike is that outlet. I’ve learned more things about myself by being involved in Pike and more recently, as an alumnus, than ever before. I take pride in my university and my fraternity as they are both life long commitments. Being a founding father of the Epsilon Delta chapter is and was such a great feeling. I try do anything and everything possible to ensure that I stay involved and make this chapter successful. At times I’ve felt alone but I know that’s not the case. We just recently had a few alumni donate $100,000+ to our chapter. I can only hope that one day I could donate that type of money to something that I love. I admit, I’m probably way more involved than I should be; but, its only because it means a lot to me. I know that if someone is not leading by example then nothing will ever be accomplished. I always strive to lead by example and only hope that the chapter will catch on. I’m extremely excited for this upcoming 2011-2012 school year as the chapter is already off to an extremely energetic start.
