Sept 11th, 2011…Day of reflection
Today has been kind of a day of reflecting for me. I watched a lot of documentaries on TV after of course finally washing my truck and doing some laundry. A lot of today made me remember that I need to keep my family and friends first. I thought a lot of about life and how I try to be a leader in everything I do especially when I’m involved with my fraternity the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. Those men mean more to me than they will ever know. I try to live every day as a zealous member of society and try to put the values Pike has taught me into action every day of my life.
Today was also a reflection about the men & women who serve or have died in the war on terrorism. I’m forever, grateful, to these men & women for their service to our country and love them dearly. U.S. Marine Cpl. James Heath McRae was one of my best friends growing up and he is truly some one who I admire for his bravery and dedication to keep us safe. He is truly missed and I can’t wait to see the memorial in our hometown that is being constructed as soon as it’s finished. Below is picture of the memorial that is being constructed. Love and miss you Heath.

These men below are my fraternity brothers of Pike and I pray that they stay safe.
Thank you for your dedication to our country and to Pike. phi phi k a
Jon Panama Cooper, John Melton and Will Sward.

One of my favorite pics I’ve seen involving our troops.
I watched a great documentary on Sept 11th today and I hope if you get a chance you will also watch it. It was apparently the first time for some of this footage to be shown to a viewing audience and I still can’t get over the sound of bodies hitting the building as people were jumping for their lives. It’s was also the first time that I’ve ever heard the “F” word used on prime time television and not be bleeped. I commend the television network for keeping it real and sharing this incredible footage and story with the rest of the world.
